Relay Weekend is our way of saying THANK YOU to our teams and supporters and the community for all your hard work raising money to send kids to camp. Our goal is for you to have the best 24 hours possible for with your teammates, friends, family and our Relay staff. Click on the links below to find out more about what we've got planned for you!
In addition to running, the Relay offers participants much, much more in the way of entertainment. Team members can partake in the volleyball tournament, on-site games, participate in fun contests for prizes, enjoy the entertainment, or just sit back and have a 'cold one' in the Hospitality Patio. We feature a 24 hour live DJ and a variety of live bands and entertainment acts on our stage.
For participants with children, the Kids Zone is the place to be. Volunteers organize this area and offer a wide range of activities including face painting, a bouncy house and arts & crafts.
The Relay offers a range of food and beverage options to help keep participants fueled throughout the event. The Relay also offers participants a Sunday morning pancake breakfast. Volleyball Tournament * - 11am Start
Teams play round robin rally-point games throughout the afternoon. Teams play a minimum of 3 games, with pool winners advancing to the semi-finals. Win and continue to the finals. The winners will receive their fantastic Team Prize during the Not Even Half-Time Show at 8pm.
Bocce Tournament* - Noon Start
Test your skills and accuracy against other teams in the classic sport of Bocce. Teams play games first to 13 round-robin style. The two teams with the highest final point totals will then compete for Bocce supremacy and a great team Prize.
INDIVIDUAL ACTIVITIES - Events with a * require teams to register in advance
Lip Sync/Air Band Contest!!* 2-3 pm
Come and show off your inner musician on the Entertainment stage to kick off our first band! Top 2 teams will be awarded for their entertainment value!
Mr & Mrs Relay – 8pm
This is no ordinary beauty competition. In this pageant, the women dress as men and the men dress as women to compete for the coveted titles of Mr and Ms Relay. Contestants will be judged by a panel of select judges based on their appearance and personality. Each contestant will be introduced and can then strut their stuff across the Relay Main Stage for a few moments. Contestants may be asked to answer a question posed by the host, Mr. Relay
Beer Pong Competition – 9:30pm
Teams of 2 compete the ever popular red cup competition in a single knock out style tournament. $5/person pays for your first beer J
Late Night Movies – 11pm
Keep the sandman away and come enjoy a late night movie at the main stage into the early morning hours.
Late Night No Limit Texas Hold’em Tournament – Midnight
Feeling lucky? Well our friendly Texas Hold'em Midnight Poker Tournament is for you. For a $15 buy-in, you will have the opportunity to show off your poker faces and skills and play for amazing prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place!
Yoganagan - 7 am Sunday
Come stretch out any kinks that may have developed during the weekend or to de-stress before going back to work Monday. All ages and levels are welcome.
Frisbees, Volleyballs, Soccer Balls etc.
Also at the Urban Rec tent sign-out sports equipment to play on your own or challenge others to join you. Come by anytime day or night to see what's available.
