Clad in sharp-looking Camper Connection hats and Camper Connection t-shirts, FIFTEEN Easter Seals Campers paired up with teams and together made this year's Relay sparkle with true CAMP spirit.
These special camp lovers inhabited all parts of Swangard Stadium and Central Park - hanging out with their host Relay teams, playing bocce with Paralympian Paul Gauthier, running the course around Central Park or rocking out on the Main Stage. We hope you could feel the love for camp around the Stadium with these campers spreading their HEARTFELT THANK-YOU'S!! Campers and Teams, I want to thank you for being part of this very special program! I took great pride in watching you all interact during the final lap. I know that the bonds and friendships that were created this year between team participants and campers will continue to grow with every Relay. I want to thank you all for being a part of this special part of the relay, you all inspire us! I, Natasha Kaweski, would like to say a HUGE thank you to all the Relay runners, teams and sponsors. I had a lot of fun at the Relay and I would like to say thanks for making it so much fun for me and the other campers that were there. I will be going to Easter Seal Camp August 17-23 and know I will have an extremely fun and awesome time there. Because of you runners, teams and sponsors, a lot of kids that use Easter Seals will be able to have fun at camp. Without you, families would have a tough time sending and affording to send their child or kids to camp. I know I will have an awesome summer no matter what I can or cannot do or participate in. Dear relay participants. I would like to thank you so much for taking part in this year's relay. The money raised will help send me and many others to camp for one week of fun. At camp I don't have to worry about my disability and only about my abilities. It really is just a great place. My hope for this year's relay was that it would be better than last year's, and it was in so many ways, there were more activities and harder to believe, an even better atmosphere.
